U.S. AND RUSSIA IN TENSE DIPLOMATIC STRUGGLE IN SYRIA

Tensions between the U-S and Russia over the bombing of civilians in Aleppo, Syria are continuing to escalate.

Moscow is now warning Washington against carrying out any attacks on Syrian government forces, saying it would lead to terrible, tectonic consequences for the whole Middle East.

Russia says Washington is attempting to un-seat Syrian President Bashar Assad by aiding al Qaeda rebels.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova says regime change in Syria would create a vacuum that would be quickly filled by terrorists of all stripes.
