One of the most frequently performed composers in the choral world is coming to Toronto for Saturday’s Luminous Night Festival. Accomplished pianist Ola Gjeilo grew up in Norway listening to everything from jazz, to pop and folk. He used those influences when writing his classical compositions at the prestigious Juilliard School and the Royal College of Music in London. Gjeilo now lives in New York full time, and told The New Classical FM, he draws inspiration from everything including architecture. The Luminous Night Festival is Saturday, October 15th at 7:30 at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church. For information on tickets and other performers, go online to yorkminsterpark.com
