One person has been hospitalized after a fire at a retirement home north of the city.
It happened Wednesday night at Woods Park retirement home in Barrie.
The cause of the blaze is not yet known but it appears damage was contained to one unit thanks to the modern construction and sprinkler system according to onsite officials.
The victim was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
In the meantime 20 residents will have to find temporary lodging as repairs are made to the home.
The Ontario Fire Marshals Office has been called in to investigate.
