Rolling Stone Magazine is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio is mounting a special exhibit that will open this spring.

The exhibit will feature material from the iconic magazine’s reporting on music, culture and politics, as well as letters to the editor from the likes of Paul McCartney and Mick Jagger.

It will also showcase audio interviews, music reviews and original manuscripts along with a roach clip  — a promotional item given to the magazine’s early subscribers.

Famous Rolling Stone covers will be feaured, going back to ones with Rock pioneers and legends like Elvis Presly and Chuck Berry, who passed away this weekend at the age of 90.

The exhibit will open May 5th and will run until November.

Rolling Stone — a bi-weekly magazine — was founded in 1967 in San Francisco.
