According to several reports, the Federal Liberals are getting set to announce exactly when marijuana will be legalized.
It’s believed that next month, the government will announce the drug will be legal in this country on Canada Day 2018.
The report stems from a federal Liberal Caucus meeting where MP Bill Blair – who is heading up the legalization portfolio – spoke to the gathering this weekend.
It’s believed that while the federal government will set minimum ages, and take care of supplying the drug, the provinces will choose how to distribute and sell legal marijuana.
The report says Ottawa will set a minimum age of 18 to buy marijuana but provinces can increase that, if they wish.
