Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan could be on the hot seat when Parliament resumes Monday after a two-week break.
His credibility and character will be under fire from the Opposition for remarks he made earlier this month in India where he said he was the architect of a battle known as “Operation Medusa” in Afghanistan.
Twelve Canadian Soldiers and hundreds of Taliban were killed in the fierce battle; Canada’s largest battle in Afghanistan.
In actual fact, then Major-General David Fraser and his command team planned and executed the 2006 mission.
Sajjan has apologized two times for what he said, including a Facebook post Satutrday in which he says he was “truly sorry for overstating his role” in the operation.
