A Canadian was one of the victims in Saturday’s terrorist attack in London, England.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau issued a statement Sunday confirming that a Canadian was killed in the attack, and that out of respect for the family, the government will not be commenting further.
The High Commission of Canada in the United Kingdom had earlier Sunday said that a Canadian had been “directly impacted.”
Seven people were killed in the attack and 48 injured when a van sped into a crowd of pedestrians on London Bridge and then three men ran from the van and used large knives to attack people in restaurants and bars nearby.
Police shot and killed the three assailants
