It’s the car that has a year-long waiting list.
Tesla put its long-promised, more affordable electric car, the Model 3, on the road today.
It will sell for 35-thousand dollars U.S. about half the cost of previous models.
The first 30 were presented to Tesla employees at the company’s plant in Hawthorne, California by Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
The Model 3 has a range of 345 kilometers.
But Musk says it could be hard to reach his goal of producing 500 units of the Model 3 next year because of what he acknowledges are supply issues and other complexities.
