Wild weather in cottage country and elsewhere this weekend left a path of destruction. Environment Canada has confirmed that a tornado touched down during fierce thunderstorms that swept through the Muskoka region Friday night. A weather expert visited Huntsville Saturday after eyewitness reports of a twister and images of damage to trees and buildings. The official strength of the tornado isn’t known yet. The strong winds knocked down trees and powerlines, cutting electricity to 13,000 Hydro One customers.
