Ernst Zundel, a man whose activities were once described by a Canadian judge as a threat to national security as well as to the international community of nations, has died in Germany.
That court decision led to his deportation from Canada.
German authorities have confirmed the death of the 78 year old Zundel. His wife Ingrid reported his death in an email on Saturday to the Canadaian Press. She said he died of a heart attack in the home in the Black Forest that he was born in.
Zundel came to Canada in 1958. He never became a citizen
In 2007 he was convicted of Holocaust denial in Germany and was sentenced to a term in prison.
