The war of words between the U.S. and North Korea continued Saturday. North Korea said in a statement that “if the Trump administration does not want the American empire to meet its tragic doom in its tenure, they had better talk and act properly,” In addition to his locked and loaded and fire and fury comments the U-S President continued his threats on Friday with a warning for Kim Jong Un that “he will regret it fast if he takes any action against the U-S or its allies.” Residents of the U-S territory are reacting to North Korea’s announcement that it is finalizing a plan to launch four ballistic missiles within 30-to-40 kilometres of the island with many saying they are nervous. Officials on Guam are issuing pamphlets to help the islanders prepare for quote “an imminent missile threat.”Pyongyang has repeatedly stated its anger over U-S bombers based in Guam conducting flyovers of the Korean Peninsula. Meantime, Canada’s foreign minister says North Korea’s nuclear program poses a “grave threat” to the security of the world and she calls on the country to fall into line with the international community. However, Chrystia Freeland is refraining from using the kind of heated rhetoric about North Korea as U-S President Donald Trump.
