A student from China, missing in Toronto since Wednesday, was located Saturday afternoon in the city.

20 year-old Juan Wen Zhang is one of three Chinese students who disappeared last week.

17 year-old Yue “Kandy” Liu went missing Friday morning in north Toronto, and 16 year-old Ke “Jaden” Xu hasn’t been seen since Thursday.

Toronto Police believe it’s part of a scam to extort money from the girls’ parents back in China.

The girls are told by the scammers to go into hiding and stay off social media and their cellphones or family members will be hurt.

Meanwhile, relatives in China are told the girls have been kidnapped and that a large ransom must be paid for their release.

Police say they are very concerned about the safety of the two girls whose whereabouts are still unknown.
