Princess Michael of Kent has apologized for wearing a brooch featuring the head of a black man. Some observers called the pin an offensive slight to Meghan Markle, Princess Harry’s fiancee, whose mother is African-American. The Princess says she is “very sorry and distressed” although she has worn the pin many times before. She became part of the Royal Family when she married Prince Michael of Kent.
