There are fears a proposed tunnel to be built under England’s famous Stonehenge could destroy the site where traces of humans living as far back as the last Ice Age have been preserved.
Opponents like Andy Rhind-Tutt fear it could harm the rich archaeological landscape where just recently, thousands year-old hoofprints were uncovered following a ten-year archaeological dig.The proposed tunnel is meant to ease congestion on a highway near the famous stone structure, considered by many to be a library of early history.
