The Fire Marshall is today investigating the cause of a massive fire at a Streetsville retirement residence under construction.

Friday night’s fire forced the evacuation of nearby residents as crews battled flames that lit up the sky and gutted the 4-storey building and triggered a number of explosions. Fire Chief Tim Beckett says it’s too early to say what caused the blaze and residents still without power Saturday morning, will have full power by the evening.
