Ontario’s Premier delivered a message to students at Toronto’s Humber College on Friday, that some are calling disturbing. Wynne’s message was delivered at government event and delivered to an ethnically diverse student body. This is a portion of her speech: “If you don’t vote, then somebody who looks like me is going to vote, some senior person, older than me, some white person. You know, the reality is, that, that’s the demographic that’s going to get out and vote and so we need you to be engaged.” Critics says her words are “ageist” and suggest that if young people don’t vote, older white people will vote conservative. Wynne delivers the throne speech on Monday at noon. Listen to Wynn’s comments via The Brian Lilley Podcast here
