The provincial New Democrats have climbed to second place according to a new poll by Mainstreet Research. The Progressive Conservatives still hold a commanding lead but the NDP has surpassed the Liberals. Among decided voters, 42 percent say they’ll vote PC, 28 percent support the NDP and the Liberals got bumped with just 22 percent support. Meantime, the campaign enters its fourth day Saturday, with campaign stops for all three provincial party leaders. PC leader Doug Ford has three stops in Toronto following a rally last night in Barrie, the home turf of his predecessor, Patrick Brown, where Ford again promised to cut taxes and improve healthcare and education. And NDP leader Andrea Horwath is in Sudbury following a rally there last night.
