There were definitely Toronto connections with Saturday’s Royal Wedding.

He says in particular, the Mulroney children “did us proud.”

3 year-old Ivy Mulroney was one of the young bridesmaids. Her 7 year-old twin brothers John and Brian were pages, and they got to hold the bride’s long veil as she entered the church.

Mayor Tory says Meghan Markle is “one of us” after living in Toronto for almost 7 years while filming her television show “Suits.” And he says she proved that when she offered her thoughts and prayers in a handwritten note to Toronto following the van attack on Yonge Street.

He also says the city is grateful to Prince Harry for holding the Invictus games in Toronto in 2017.
