Toronto Police chief Mark Saunders has a message for the suspects in Thursday’s shooting of two young girls, the cowards will be caught and his force is using every resource to track them down. Two young sisters were rushed to SickKids hospital in Toronto after what police called a “brazen” shooting in the city’s east end. The girls, ages five and nine, are listed in stable condition. They were shot in a playground in Alton Towers Circle at McCowan Road and McNicoll Avenue around 5 p.m. Police Chief Saunders says police are canvassing the area and collecting video from security cameras.Toronto Mayor John Tory promised that police will do everything they can to catch those responsible, whom he too called “cowards.” Police say it appears the intended target of the shooting was a man who was among the 11 children on the playground.
