The Toronto Public Library is using the power of social media to ask people to help it write a book, one tweet at a time.
The initiative was launched this month and anyone using Twitter has a chance to advance the story line by line with plans to publish the final story. Library spokesperson Ana-Maria Critchley says two tweets are chosen each day and pitted against each other in a Twitter poll, voted on by the public. So far, the story is about two people who reconnect at Toronto’s waterfront after three decades and end up heading to the Toronto Islands.
