Thousands of rescuers continue their attempt to get relief supplies to isolated areas of India ravaged by the worst flooding the country has experienced in one-hundred years.  800-thousand people have been forced from their homes as flood waters rose higher and higher from days of heavy rain.

In the southern state of Kerala, the death toll stands at over 350.

The Indian military is bringing food and supplies to people trapped in remote areas.

About 1.5 million litres of drinking water is being transported to flooded areas  by at least two trains.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised 70 million dollars in aid after viewing flooded areas by helicopter.
