Jennifer Keesmaat is ramping up her attacks on Mayor John Tory. During her campaign kick off last night, the city’s former chief planner launched into Tory’s leadership style saying if elected Mayor, she’s the better choice. She said she doesn’t agree with Tory’s approach to leadership, adding leaders need to have vision to make bold decisions.
Mayor John Tory responded in a statement that reads in part “the city needs real action not empty talk.
Ms Keesmaat continues to make pronouncements and hollow promises that demonstrate a lack of understanding of what Toronto really needs.” Four city councillors showed up last night to support Keesmaat. The municipal election is October 22nd.
