It’s that time of year to celebrate the best in Canadian music. This year’s Juno Award nominees were announced Tuesday in Toronto. 51-year-old Sarah McLachlan will host this year’s show on March 17th in London, Ontario.

Canadian producer and composer David Foster will receive this year’s humanitarian award for his work raising money for Canadians needing life-saving organs. And 80’s rocker Corey Hart will be inducted into Canada’s music hall of fame and will perform live at the Juno Awards show. Zoomer Jann Arden is nominated for adult contemporary album of the year.

The Toronto Symphony Orchestra is nominated for classical album of the year.

The award-winning TSO is up against the National Arts Centre Orchestra, James Ehnes, Louis Lorti and the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra with Gryphon Trio. The complete list of nominees is online at JUNO NOMINEES
