At 70, Toronto conductor Mandle Cheung is proving it’s never too late to follow your dreams. The life-long orchestral music fan and philanthropist, recently founded Mandle Philharmonic, a new Toronto orchestra. Cheung told Mark Wigmore, host of the Oasis on our sister station The New Classical FM, he’s wanted to conduct a symphonic concert since he was 15.

This weekend, the Mandle Philharmonic will perform classics by the masters including Tchaikovsky at the Toronto Centre for the Performing Arts at 7 pm. More information online here
