Demonstrations and celebrations are planned across the country today as Canada marks its first 4/20 since recreational marijuana was legalized last October.
Thousands of pot lovers are expected to gather on Parliament Hill on Saturday, but not will be there to celebrate.
Many weed enthusiasts say the federal government’s policies around marijuana still need to change.
They are slamming the Trudeau government for taxing medicinal marijuana and say pardons for those with criminal records for possession don’t go far enough.
They want the records of those with simple pot possession to be expunged completely.
4/20 events were also planned at Yong/Dundas Square and Woodbine Park in Toronto.
