Canadian Twitter users will notice a change on the social media platform.

Users in this country are now able to hide replies to tweets as the company launches a new experiment designed to give users more control over conversations. Twitter Canada`s Michele Austin says it could come in handy for a user who doesn’t like a comment, but still wants the person replying to have access to their tweets. The timing comes as social media platforms like Twitter have faced increasing government pressure to police their services better, particularly ahead of this fall’s federal election.
