With the latest stretch of heat that’s been hitting much of Canada, one would assume that there would be a lot of Canadians reaching for some ice cream for relief.
But you may want to check your freezer after the Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued a recall for two types of ice cream sandwiches.
Canadian dairy co-operative Agropur says the recall covers Iceberg brand sandwiches sold in boxes of eight and Originale Augustin brand sold in boxes of 30.
The company says the ice cream sandwiches, which were sold in Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada may contain metal particles.
If you have either of the products, you can return them to the store for a refund or simply throw them out.
The company says there have not been any reports of injuries.
