The changes-that go into effect October 1st-include scrapping some ineffective infertility tests and some pre-operation assessments. The cuts were made on recommendations from a committee made up of members of the province and the Ontario Medical Association. The group also recommended updates to some cardiac monitoring devices. The province says the recommendations will result in $83 million   a year in savings.
