BRrrrrrrrrUTAL WINTER ON THE WAY

As we enjoy these final few gorgeous weeks of summer, be warned, Canadians are in for a bitterly cold winter!

The new edition of the Farmer’s Almanac reveals some hefty snowfalls and bitter cold…with worse than normal winter precipitation over much of Canada. Across the country, January looks to be especially stormy with frequent bouts of heavy precipitation, along with strong and gusty winds. Areas east of the Rockies to Quebec and the Maritimes will bear the brunt of the cold and areas from the Prairies into the Great Lakes to be the most frigid. And to add insult to injury, the 203-year-old almanac predicts that spring will be a little late arriving next year, though not as late as it was this year. And one Almanac forecast calls it a “polar coaster” winter, meaning there’s going to be both warm and cold spells.
