If you’re interested in buying tickets to next year’s Toronto performances of the Broadway smash hit Hamilton, be warned. Within minutes of announced details of tickets sales for the Toronto engagement, online re-selling sites were promoting tickets to the show at highly inflated prices. Tickets for Hamilton in Toronto don’t go on sale until October 28th, so if you see tickets for hundreds or even thousands of dollars, you’re likely buying from a third-party broker with no guarantee the tickets are even valid. The biggest culprit is Toronto-theatre.com, an online ticket re-seller based in the UK. The Tony-award winning musical is set to run at Ed Mirvish Theatre next February to May.
