A group of GTA seniors gathers once a week, belting out tunes to prepare for their big music concert in the new year. These older singers are having a blast rocking out to a contemporary repertoire.

Anne Oucharek has been singing her whole life, and knows first hand the healing power of music. The 80-year-old has the lung disease C-O-P-D and her doctor told her singing is the best medicine to keep her lungs healthy. She  jokes being so busy practicing leaves little time for the housework! This Voice Rock Canada ensemble group was founded by Cheryl Bower, herself a life long singer, who wanted to help engage seniors in a safe community setting that’s fun.
