On the Canadian politican scene, Rona Ambrose made it official on Facebook
She will not run for the Federal Conservative Leadership.
Ambrose’s announcement may open up the race to potential candidates who were waiting for her decision. The former interim Conservative Leader was viewed by some as the party’s best shot to beat the Liberals in the next election. So far, six have officially entered the race to succeed Andrew Scheer, including former Harper cabinet minister Peter McKay. Former Quebec premier Jean Charest also decided not to run this week.
