The Toronto District School Board family confirms a missing teen who didn’t show up for school Wednesday wasn’t notified until after 6 p.m. that same evening because his teachers missed a deadline. As a result, four teachers at Newtonbrook Secondary School have been put on home assignment. Police say they’re extremely concerned for the safety of the grade 9 student who they believe was abducted and was the subject of an amber alert. There’s been no sign of the two suspects.
