The Doug Ford government is willing to remove barriers to help businesses adapt. Associate Minister of Small Business Prabmeet Sarkaria announced a new website where business owners can submit the challenges they’re facing during the pandemic.

The website COVID-19: Tackling the Barriers can be found here

“Through this portal, we want to make clear the hurdles standing in the way of the most effective and efficient response to COVID-19, particularly we are looking for temporary rule or regulation changes that would make it easier to assist our health care system in meeting emergency needs,” said Sarkaria. The province says allowing restaurants to sell wine, beer and spirits is an example of how the rules have been relaxed. Meantime, the Premier says the framework released Monday is just the start of the process and that more details will come this week including clear “sector specific” labour guidelines.
