Britain’s National Theatre has launched a paid streaming service for its filmed plays as a means of staying afloat till the pandemic is over.

National Theatre at Home, which launched yesterday, will make plays available for either a one-off payment or a subscription.

The National’s executive director, says the venture will continue to provide audiences with the power and joy of theatre for as long as it is needed.

New titles will be added each month.
