PATTY GETS IT WRONG

Here’s another example of “just because it’s on the internet it’s not necessarily right.”

Veteran singer-songwriter Patty Smyth has learned that the hard way with her version of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” from her album “Come on December.

The 63-year old sings, “through the years we all will be together if the fates allow.”

Those are the lyrics she downloaded from Google…

Problem is, the original line is  actually “Until then, we’ll have to muddle through somehow.”

Smyth says while some people feel strongly about one set of words or the other, she just went with what the internet told her.
