Just two days after the initial doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine arrived in Canada, comes word approval of the Moderna vaccine is near.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Canada has signed a deal to receive up to 168,000 doses of Moderna’s before the end of the month, if approved by Health Canada.
And he quickly adds deliveries could begin within 48-hours of the anticipated go ahead.
Trudeau also says Canada’s set to receive about 200,000 of its total early shipment from Pfizer next week.
”As with the early shipments of the Pfizer vaccine, this moves us even further forward on getting Canadians protected as quickly as possible,” according to the prime minister.
Plus there will be 70 sites across Canada ready to administer these doses, up from the current 14 sites now in place.
