It’s “Anderhalvemetersamenleving,” which literally translates into “One-and-a-half-meter-society”
It was voted the winner by a rather large (social) distance.
The word is a compound noun describing life under the Dutch government’s 1.5-meter social distancing requirement.
Ironically, the announcement came just as the Netherlands entered a strict five-week lock down to counter a recent sharp rises in new COVID-19 infections.
