Just a month after hitting the book shelves, Barack Obama’s memoir “A Promised Land” is well on its way to becoming the best-selling president memoir in modern times.
Crown Publishing says sales in Canada and the U.S. have topped 3.3-million copies.
That is approaching total sales of Bill Clinton’s “My Life” and George W. Bush’s “Decision Points,” both of which have sold between 3.5-million and four-million.
“A Promised Land,” is the first of two planned volumes. The first book covers the election of the first African American President in U.S. history in 2008 and much of his first term.
