It’ll be bitter sweet.
Alex Trebek’s final series of episodes of Jeopardy are set to air Monday January 4th to Friday January 8th.
All five new episodes of the long running television game show were recorded in late October, before Trebek’s death early last month of pancreatic cancer.
The Canadian born 80 year old Trebek had been candid about his condition and worked up until 10 days before he passed away.
“I am thankful for the kind words, the prayers and the advice you’ve offered and I’m extremely touched by the warmth you have expressed in your comments to me,” Trebek said in a video, “I’m a lucky guy.”
The Jeopardy episode airing January 1st will include a special tribute to Alex Trebek, who hosted more than 8000 shows since 1984.
The game show will continue airing new episodes January 11th, with Jeopardy champion Ken Jennings as guest host until a permanent host is announced.
