All but one of the 198 residents rolled up their sleeves Thursday to receive the vaccine. The first resident to receive the vaccine was retired nurse Sheila Barber.
The home in the Danforth neighbourhood hasn’t had a significant COVID outbreak among staff or residents.
However, there are currently 204 long-term care homes with an outbreak of COVID-19 and to date, 2,777 residents have died from the virus.
