A shocking, unbelievable scene in Washington, where Donald Trump supporters violently clashed with law enforcement on Capitol Hill.
Hundreds stormed the Capitol buildings, forcing a delay in the constitutional process to affirm Joe Biden’s November election victory.
After earlier urging supporters to come to Washington to protest, pressure’s mounting on Trump to condemn their actions.
Among those urging him to act, his former communications director, who tweeted the president should ”Condemn this now. You are the only one they will listen to.”
Both buildings have been evacuated of officials, but rioters did get inside the Senate chamber.
One even got up front and yelled ”Trump won that election.”
Earlier, members of congress inside the House chamber were told by police to put on masks after tear gas was dispersed in the Capitol Rotunda.
The mayor of D. C. has called for a 6pm curfew and police reinforcements are moving in.
