One of Canada’s most prolific music producers has decided to follow the likes of Neil Young and strike a deal with the London-Based Hipgnosis Fund that includes the producer rights to Canadian Crooner Michael Buble’s entire album “To Be Loved.”
66-year old, Winnipeg-born music producer Bob Rock, a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, is selling off the rights to 40 of the song’s he’s produced.
Earlier this month Hipgnosis acquired a 50% cent stake in Canadian music legend Neil Young’s catalogue, in a deal said to be worth millions.
Rights deals have become a hot commodity during the pandemic as artists look to turn their assets into cash.
