In this, one of the weirdest year’s ever for film, The Sundance Film Festival, founded in Utah in 1978 by now the now 84-year old Robert Redford, is about to reset the clock.

Because the Academy Awards Ceremony has been pushed back by two months, the movie year will lap itself, making the latest Sundance premieres eligible to compete for Oscars alongside movies that debuted at the festival last year.

This year’s Sundance Film Festival is largely on line, joining other major film festivals’ like last year’s edition of TIFF.
