He was the acclaimed film editor behind such classics from the ’60s and ’70s as “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner,” and “Love Story,” but he’s remembered as an Oscar winner for the 1978 war drama “Coming Home.”
Robert C. Jones has died following a long illness.
Over a long career, Jones collaborated with such noted directors such as Hal Ashby and Arthur Hiller and scored several Academy Award nominations.
He also penned several scripts earning the best original screenplay Oscar for “Coming Home.”
Robert C.Jones was 84.
