It’s the most successful program in U.S. TV history and has been a staple on Sunday night for years.
According to a new book, it was also television’s most toxic workplace.
Author Ira Rosen won 24 Emmys in 40 years working for “60-Minutes.” Now the 66-year old has turned his focus inward on the show, describing years of misery thanks to corespondent Mike Wallace, whose workday behavior included sexually harassing women in the office and subjecting colleagues to tirades and tantrums.
Rosen’s book is called, “Ticking Clock: Behind the Scenes at ’60 Minutes.”
Wallace died in 2012 at the age of 93.
