From his teens and early partnership with John Lennon to his solo work and Wings catalogs and up through present day, Paul McCartney’s ready to pen his memoir.

The 78-year-old former Beatle will use music and the help of a Pulitzer prize winning poet to guide him.
The two-volume, 960-page ”The Lyrics:  1956 to the Present” will trace McCartney’s life through 154 songs.
”I hope that what I’ve written will show people something about my songs and my life that they haven’t seen before,” says Sir Paul.
”I’ve tried to say something about how the music happens and what it means to me and I hope what it may mean to others, too.”
The collection was edited by Pulitzer Prize winning writer-poet Paul Muldoon, who also wrote the introduction.
The book is to be released November 2.
