As part of Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards, the iconic Jane Fonda accepted the Cecil B. DeMille award for outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.

The 83 year old acting legend made a plea to her fellow actors to recognize all voices.

“So let’s all of us, including all the groups who decide who gets hired, what gets made and who wins awards, let’s all of us make an effort to expand that tent so that everyone rises and everyone’s story has a chance to be seen and heard,” Fonda told viewers.

Meantime, just a little over a year removed from debuting her silver pixie cut at last year’s Oscars, Jane Fonda is still loving her grey hair.

“I tell you, I’m so happy I let it go grey,” she told Ellen DeGeneres during a remote interview on the host’s show on Thursday. “Enough already with so much time wasted, so much money spent, so many chemicals. I’m through with that.”

Fonda, who flaunted her natural grey hair in a short bob and wore a casual red zip-up hoodie for the video call, takes a similar approach to her fashion choices. When asked what she plans to wear to the 2021 Golden Globes on Sunday, where she’ll receive the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award, the outspoken climate activist who’s known for re-wearing red carpet gowns said she had dug something out of her closet once again.

“Well, I prefer this kind of outfit than getting dressed up,” Fonda said signalling her red jogging suit. “I vowed a couple of years ago I would never buy any new clothes again. We spend too much money, we buy too many things, and then we get rid of them. We try to develop our identity by shopping, right? We gotta stop that. Stop all this consumerism.”

True to form, Fonda delivered on her promise. She graced the stage re-wearing a sleek white suit with cream-colored trim, paired with metallic Sarah Flint pointy-toe pumps and Pomellato drop earrings.
