Over 11,000 seniors booked vaccine appointments through the city of Toronto’s online portal in the three days since it went live on Friday. It’s now being merged with the provincial registration system.
Chief Matthew Pegg with the city’s COVID emergency response team says this Wednesday, three new mass vaccination clinics will open in Toronto, two more on the 29th and another April 5th.
“Each of the city’s mass immunization clinics will operate between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. seven days a week, and when operating at full planned capacity we will have the ability to administer up to 235,000 COVID-19 vaccines each week.”

Pegg is urging people not to contact 311 or Toronto public health for help with the vaccine registration at 1-833-943-3900.
Meantime, Toronto’s top doctor says we should all be concerned by what we’re seeing here and around the world. Dr. Eileen de Villa says the pandemic is far from over.
“The COVID-19 variants are triggering third waves in Europe and several countries are imposing new lockdowns or restrictions.”
There are 387 new COVID-19 cases in the city and two new deaths.
