He played the corrupt Caribbean dictator Dr. Kananga as well as his drug pushing alter ego Mr. Big opposite Sir Roger Moore in the 1973 Bond film “Live and Let Die.”

Yaphet Kotto, has died.

He was also known for playing technician Dennis Parker along side Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1987 action film “The Running Man” and Al Giardello in “Homicide: Life on the Street,” from 1993 to 1999.

No cause of death was given.

Yaphet Kotto was 81.
